WE ARE GOING TO STATE! LET'S GO MINERS!
Through funds from the Full Service Community School MCH grant, Mrs. Deringer's PE class are learning about the lifetime sport of bowling. Funds purchased the indoor bowling pins and balls so students can learn the fundamentals of the game AND learn how to manually keep score. The 9th grade class will get to wrap up their unit by going on a field trip to an actual bowling alley at the end of the month to practice what they learned and to create a lifelong love of the sport.
Come Cheer on the Miners in the Region Championship tomorrow night at St. Mary's School. Doors open at 5:00. Miner fans will be seated in the NW Corner of the gym.
Miss Myra, the artist in residency for grades preschool through 4th grade came again on Friday, March 7. Students got to paint their clay penguins they made in February. They can't wait to show you all of their creations at the art showcase on Monday, April 7 .
Students in the afterschool program enjoyed having a guest the last 5 weeks come and do a Junior Achievement program on "Our Community." Students learned what a community is, what makes up a community, businesses and workers of a business, voting, taxes and about government jobs in a community. Thanks Ms Brooklyn for coming to do the fun filled lessons with them.
