
Congratulations to our middle school reading team, the "Pans", for winning their region Battle of the Books competition on Wednesday, April 16. Students were quizzed in three different rounds about 12 books they were to have read in preparation for the competitions leading up to and including this one. The Pans totalled 70 points for the win. Second place had 60.

Congratulations to the HS Music students on a fantastic Regional Contest yesterday in Washburn! We had 20 events perform. 15 received Excellent (1) ratings and 5 received Superior (star) ratings and will advance to the State Contest in May. You all made your music teachers very proud!

The kids had a great time attending the movie today that they earned during reading month! The picnic at the park was a bit windy, but they had fun playing!

Congratulations to all of the award winners for the boys and girls basketball teams this year! We are proud of our Miners!



What a great turnout for the Art Showcase tonight! Beautiful artwork displayed by the Preschool through fourth grade students who had an Artist in Residency. Other artwork displayed were Mrs. Axt's students in Preschool through fifth grade, and high school Art 1 and Art 2 students. We had music by pianists students of Mrs. Quinn as well as high school vocal and instrumental students of Mrs. Haugen and Mrs. Buechele. Before and After school program had art work on display as well. Thanks for all who showed up. And if you couldn't make it, much of the artwork will be hanging in the halls for the rest of the week. Funds provided for the Artist in Residency through a grant from the ND Arts Council and Washburn American Legion











GBB and BBB Awards Banquet Monday at 7:00 in the school. Hope to see all parents there.
